The Makah Tribal Council recently co-signed a letter to Senator Cantwell with Governor Gregoire and two State Senators calling for the inclusion of a provision in her Coast Guard reauthorization bill that would go a long way to address the disparities in regulations ships calling on Washington and British Columbia Ports are subject to, including the Neah Bay tug. Non-plan holders should just be charged higher rate for the service than those who underwrite the tug being there. These are not insurmountable problems.
