Dear Unni, the logic behind the IMO verification procedure is that the procedure shall be followed before a sample can be considered off limit. Case is that any port State may at its discression decide to follow ISO4259 at any time and consider results falling within the grey area as compliant. It is however not possible to do the opposite without following the verification procedure all the way. Best regards.
