Salutations Natalie,
Allow me to again thank the team at SS for their most comprehensive review on COP 17. The insights into providing scope to understand the developments in this space. The details here are most historic we see now a greater consensus on applying measures – as to the measures I would caution as to a levy of this kind. $25 pmt – this would result in greater than calculations on required tCO2-e measures. Fair and equitable measures macro and micro here is our regard WRI and WBCSD Standards.
Kind regards
Caroline

HI Caroline and Natalie Bruckner-Menchelli,
at first, Thank you for your work, to reduce GHG from ships generally, but I do not agree with the formula: " Durban reaches breakthrough climate change agreement", because:this regime needs time, more than the "max 2°"-limit allowed. Historic fact is also: the dynarig, a square sail-system, developed from Wilhelm prölss in the 60-s of last century and should be used for Bulkers to reduce GHG from ships.
Christmas-greetings to you both
from Heinz Otto, www.windships.de
