Please advice whether Sulfide Stress Cracking is a matter of concern in pipelines transporting Fuel Oils (500 cSt to 1000 cSt @ 50deg Cels)?

If yes, should the material selection be as per NACE MR0175/ISO 15156?

How can I estimate (approximate figure, as details are not available) the amount of Hydrogen Sulfide generated in Fuel Oils given the Sulphur content, water content and physical variables such as presure, temperature etc.?

To the best of our knowledge, fuel oil should contain minimal H2S (almost nothing).

If they do, can this cause sulphide stress corrosion cracking? This is really a question for refineries or pipeline transportation companies. Kindly address it to them.
