Let's start with the facts. The facts that the environmentalists fail to share with the media and the facts the liberal left media fail to share with us, the general public.
1,700 barrels of oil, per day, seep from natural fissures off the coast of North America. Last year, the drilling industry spilled a grand total of 2,256 barrels of oil, fuel and chemicals. For the entire year!
No one is claiming that new offshore drilling will fix the oil supply situation immediately but we cannot sit around and wait until the situation becomes dire. We need new offshore drilling just as much as we need alternative fuel and energy sources for the future. Both options need to be literally, explored to the fullest extent.
