    it seem to me that people some time tend to simplify things to make it more easy to explain.
    here an example ,when we consider any port future there are so many elements to be consider ,the most importantof them is 1-location, 2- the ability to extend (grow),3-the effeicency,4- other services provided in the port ,5-the depth,6- the cost of upgrading,7-the governmental regulation & unions,8-the local market.
    if we look carfuly now to the ports mentioned in this article we can find clearly that they are differ completly in these factors malta can not grow it has no local market and no extra space available in the island or the port for future extention after 10 years for example, black sea ports had very dramatic hindering ( the depth ) and so on, so please do not buy what the port operator are saying to sell thier terminal but look carfuly 10 years from now ,otherwise we will face a real delima
