The market for IFO380 is definitely big in Singapore, which is Asia's largest bunkering market as well as being the world's largest bunkering port. Average monthly sales for IFO380 were slightly more than 3 million mt in March and April this year. If that statistics is anything to go by, then it certainly shows that demand for IFO380 remains strong in Asia.

In Hong Kong, the bulk of bunker sales is for IFO380 as well.

    Hi Hong Liang,

Would like to ask which type of bunker does most crude/product tanker run on? the 180 or the 380 type.

Going by the volume of bunker fuel sold worldwide, 380 cst sales take the lion's share. This would translate to more ships buying and burning 380 cst material.
However, the type of bunkers used would also need to take into consideration pricing concerns, availability of fuel at different ports, and engine types of ships.
