    Dr Vis,

    1. I understand that the lower the sulfer content in MGO, the lower the Flashpoint will be. What does this mean for ISO specs of the flashpoint in low sulfer MGO?

    2. Also: MGO in Mexico has a typical sulfer content of 300ppm. Calculating this to a percentage, it results in 0.03% sulfer. Is this correct?

    Dear Mr.Kelderman

    1. ISO specs simply state that the flash point should be above 60 degC. It is not a requirement to measure the exact flashpoint. So unless a specific experiment is carried out we would not know if the sulphur content and flash point have a direct relationship.
