Need to convert all to gallons -

    Ship #1 (Panamax) uses 28MT(volume) IFO 180cst x .972 (density) = 27.21 (what?)
Then take 280 or 310.5 gallons (where do I find this figure?). I trust your judgement but cannot find this figure online anywhere. What IS this figure?

So, then what is next (this is so appreciated) in this formula?

Take the 27.21 x 280 gals? If so, this = 7618.80 (whats?) My source pays USD $500pmt. I need the price per gallon.

It would be most appreciated to take xMT and convert to gallons/liters. In this case density is .972 for IFO 180cst.

Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Nicole, Let me explain another way to found the figures you want.

Using density can help you to solve the problem, as you mentioned density is 0.972 (gr/mL) or (Kg/cubic meter). 28 MT (Metric Tonnes) is not volume this mass and 28 MT is equivalent to 28.000.000 gr.

Then, 28.000.000 gr divided by 0.972 gr/mL is equal to 28.806.584,36
mL, which equal to 28.806,58 liters or 7609,91820 gallons. (1 gallon is 3.7854 liters).

As you mentioned, your source pays 500 $/MT or which is the same (500 $/MT * 28 MT) 14.000 dollars.

Finally you should divide 14.000 dollar by 7609,91820 gallons this is equal to 1.8397 $/gallon or 0.4860 $/liter.
