    POSITION LOCATION:

    Regional Headquarters Europe – London, U.K.


    POSITION DESCRIPTION:

    The Quality and Claims Manager will be responsible for assisting the Technical Director and the Marine sales team in the handling of all customer claims. This position requires very close collaboration with the marine sales team and often involves direct contact with suppliers and customers.

    Specific responsibilities include:

    • Researching technical aspects of claims and contributing to satisfactory resolution
    • Providing technical advice to marine sales and operations teams who are fielding technical questions from customers and suppliers


    BACKGROUND AND SKILLS:

    The ideal candidate wil have a solid technical background plus specific knowledge and experience of the supply of heavy fuels. Experience at sea or in port bunkering operations is highly desirable. Strong candidates are likely to come from the petroleum industry (majors, suppliers), shipping companies, specialized service providers such as fuel testing laboratories and marine consultancies.


    Required:

    • A technical background in petroleum, marine engineering or fuel testing (preferably 2 of the 3)
    • First-hand knowledge of main grade fuel supply (bunkering)
    • Minimum 5 years work experience including roles with some customer interaction
    • Comfortable in fast-paced environments where quick response time is critical
    • Strong organizational skills – must be task oriented and be able to deal promptly with detailed problems.
