Vessel Owner/Operator is seeking a Fleet Bunker Manager to ensure that all owned / operated vessels are bunkered in the most efficient means possible. Position is to be based in Houston, TX USA.

Responsibilities:
Optimize pricing per ton on all bunkers stemmed while maintaining quality standards
Optimize mix of spot and contracts achieving maximum cost savings
Coordinate bunkering operations with cargo operations
Monitor quality issues at various bunker
Evaluate Bunker Quality Reports
Monitor world trends on a daily basis
Evaluate hedging positions / strategy based on world prices
Familiarity with applicable MARPOL Regs to ensure compliance

Preferred Skills and Experience:
B.S. in a Maritime related field
4+ years experience as a broker or with an owner
Knowledge of the global bunker market
Familiarity with ISO fuel specs
Familiarity with MARPOL Annex VI Regulations
Experience with contract negotiation and hedging strategies
