    MAJOR IMPROVEMENTS IN BOILER PERFORMANCE.

Many tanker operators experience frequent problems with the boilers used for heating the cargo and the fuel oil. Extensive black smoke emission and frequent maintenance in order to avoid complaints.

Recently a tanker operator in the Panama Canal was spotted by the coast guard and had to drop the anchor and send back the pilot for duration of 24 hours to adjust the boiler before they could continue the voyage. On top of that they had to pay a fine of $ 20,000 for violating the smoke stack maximum value.

Common problems such as these can be counter acted easily if the fuel oil treatment PP3-F from Pacific Petroleum is used. Tests made by tanker operators show that the smoke opacity will be reduced 50% or more directly within the first 35 hours.

If also the boiler is maintained and cleaned it will stay much cleaner than before with minimum of black soot deposit. The efficiency of a clean boiler is also higher than when full of soot deposits. With proper adjustment of the air flow and the use of the additive the smoke stack will become un-visible and just like hot air.
